Rural King invites motivated students to join our internship program in Mattoon, IL, offering hands-on experiences in Architecture & Data, Infrastructure & Cybersecurity, and Software Development. You will work under supervision on department projects, receive mentorship, and build professional skills while learning the retail landscape.

Eligible students are pursuing an undergraduate degree in a related field and are collegiate juniors or above with a 3.2+ GPA, and must have US work

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in a related field coinciding with the assigned department.
• Must be a college junior or above at the time of internship.
• Must have a 3.2 GPA or above.
• Ability to learn and become proficient in internal software systems.
• Adaptability and ability to learn quickly with professionalism.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.
• Permanent US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Provide entry to intermediate-level professional services under supervision.
• Participate in projects with opportunity to impact the business.
• Contribute to projects to develop professional skills in the department.
• Partner with associates to complete projects and daily tasks.
• Receive guidance, training, and mentoring from team members.
• Provide feedback to management to improve processes.
• Learn and become proficient in department software systems as needed.
• Participate in trainings, workshops, and webinars to acquire new knowledge.
• Provide friendly, proactive internal and external support promptly.
