Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Quality Lab Tech in Biola, CA. The role focuses on routine QC testing of materials, adherence to SOPs, and generating Certificates of Analysis (COAs).

You will maintain equipment, logbooks, and data while ensuring safety and quality standards across the lab. The ideal candidate has an associate degree in chemistry or related field, with 2+ years of lab experience and proficiency in MS Office; SAP QM Modules and LIMS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in chemistry or related major or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Soil Science, Agronomy, Chemical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of laboratory experience; equivalent degree considered.
• Knowledge of Chemistry and Mathematics required.
• Extensive experience with MS Office; SAP QM Modules and LIMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Quality SOPs and processes.
• Perform routine QC testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
• Report quality and process abnormalities and lead investigations as needed.
• Conduct quality control and QA tests accurately and safely.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and perform instrument troubleshooting.
• Maintain QC logbooks, compile and interpret data.
• Develop and author SOPs and generate COAs.
• Maintain lab hygiene and SHE compliance.
• Lead by example for Safety, Integrity, Inclusion, Performance, Community, and Innovation.

What You'll Do:

Quality Lab Tech-Biola, CA

• Adhere to all Quality standard operating procedures (SOPs) and processes.
• Perform routine QC testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
• Report quality and process abnormalities to manager and lead investigations as needed.
• Perform all quality control and quality assurance tests and procedures in a precise, accurate and efficient manner, and follows safety standards and protocols with regards to safe handling of materials.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation, including hands-on instrument troubleshooting & repair.
• Maintain QC logbooks, compile and interpret data.
• Develop and author SOPs.
• Generate Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
• Maintain exemplary laboratory hygiene in terms of safety and SHE compliance.
• Act as a leader and example for the company’s Behavioral Standards, which focus on Safety, Integrity, Inclusion, Performance, Community, and Innovation.
• Perform other duties as required.

What You'll Bring:

• Associate degree in chemistry or a related major. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Soil Science, Agronomy, Chemical
• Engineering or related field is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a laboratory; equivalent degree may be considered in lieu of lab experience.
• Knowledge of Chemistry and Mathematics
• Extensive experience with MS Office. Experience with SAP QM Modules, LIMs is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers, and management.
• Ability to work independently.

The salary range for this role, in Biola, CA location, is between $21.00 - $34.00. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.
