Job summary

Nutrien is seeking an entry-level Supervisory role in Production for Kerman, CA. You will lead a team in a manufacturing setting, hire and train staff, and maintain a safe, compliant plant environment. The role involves scheduling, monitoring production, and driving efficiency across shifts.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or relevant experience, with 3+ years in production or manufacturing and some supervisory exposure. Willingness to rotate shifts every 60 days is a plus.

  • Flexibility to rotate from 1st to 2nd shift every 60 days.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead and manage a team of manufacturing/production personnel
  • Actively participate in hiring, training, and reviewing performance and development of staff
  • Lead and maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources
  • Develop, oversee, and maintain compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel
  • Accomplish work results by establishing priorities, monitoring progress, resolving production problems and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries
  • Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data
  • Maintain quality service by working with the quality lab and enforcing organization standards
  • Support and guide production personnel to seek ways to eliminate waste and improve efficiency throughout the plant
  • Ensure formulation can satisfy packaging needs of the plant
  • Work with planners to maintain supply of raw chemicals and packaging materials meet production needs

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree required. May consider relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of production, manufacturing, or supply chain experience including two to three years of supervisor, mentor, or leader experience strongly preferred.
  • Flexible to roatate from 1st to 2nd shift every 60 days
Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this role, in Biola, CA location, is between $51,400.00 - $80,630.00. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

We provide an attractive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, and life insurance and well as disability coverage for positions working more than 30 hours per week. In addition, we have a retirement program that encourages our employees to save for the longer term, with generous matching employer contributions. In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
