Job summary

Altana is seeking a Principal Financial Analyst to serve as the dedicated Finance Business Partner to Altana’s Technology organization — spanning R&D, Implementation, Product, IT, and InfoSec. You will own the monthly budget forecast, provide board-ready insights, and partner with senior Tech leaders to drive budget management and procurement efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of FP&A or finance business partnering at a high-growth tech or SaaS company.
• Direct experience with R&D, Engineering, or Product organizations; AI company experience is a plus.
• Strong financial modeling in Excel; SQL proficiency to pull data from data warehouse is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly budget forecast, metrics, and variance reporting for the Technology organization.
• Advise Tech leaders on investments, build driver-based models, evaluate headcount requests versus budget.
• Forecast cloud spend and manage AI/LLM spend with cost attribution and monthly reporting.
• Translate cloud and AI invoices into GAAP-compliant entries with cross-functional alignment.
• Lead procurement and vendor management for the Tech org, renewals, and SaaS rationalization.
• Build Board-level scorecards and ROI analysis by engineering pod.
