Job summary

Atomic Coffee Roasters is seeking a technology-forward Controller to own our accounting function and deliver financials leadership can trust every day. We have invested heavily in modern accounting systems, including AI-assisted workflows built in-house, so this role centers on the work that requires an accountant's judgment rather than repetitive tasks.

This role reports to the COO and offers a path for growth as the company scales.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including monthly close.
• Strong command of GL, reconciliations, AP/AR, and financial statements.
• CPA a plus, not required.
• Manufacturing or inventory accounting experience a plus.
• Intercompany accounting experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting, including monthly close.
• Manage AP/AR, invoicing, payments, and cash application.
• Prepare year-end package with CPA.
• Support payroll journal entries.
• Identify process improvements across the function.
• Oversee reconciliations and inventory/COGS adjustments.
