Job summary

Crowell & Moring seeks a mid-level associate to join its Intellectual Property practice in Chicago, LA, NYC, OC, SF or DC. Candidates should have 2–5 years of patent litigation experience, drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and managing discovery. A background in CS/EE and hands-on coding are strongly preferred. Bar eligibility or admission is required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of patent litigation experience in federal district courts.
• Undergraduate or advanced degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or related field.
• Hands-on coding experience in modern programming languages is strongly preferred.
• Bar admission to the office applied for or eligibility by waiver.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions and briefs for patent litigation matters.
• Manage written discovery and assist in deposition preparation.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex technical technologies.
• Collaborate with clients across industries and participate in depositions and other phases of litigation.
