The Hartford in Hartford, CT is seeking a Financial Analysis Consultant to partner with Technology and Finance leadership. The role focuses on financial transparency, forecasting accuracy, and actionable insights beyond standard reporting.

You will build driver-based models, support planning, and drive automation to improve efficiency and decision-making. You will work in a hybrid setup (3 days in office per week: Tue–Thu) and help modernize technology finance processes while strengthening

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
• 5+ years of FP&A, finance business partnering, or related experience.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to connect operational drivers to financial outcomes and decisions.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Experience with TM1, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx or similar tools preferred.
• Experience utilizing AI-enabled productivity, analytics, or automation tools preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting concepts preferred.
• Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and commitment to continuous improvement.

• Serve as a strategic finance partner to Technology leaders and stakeholders.
• Provide financial guidance and analytical support to inform business decisions.
• Translate financial and operational information into clear insights.
• Develop driver-based models to improve forecast accuracy and transparency.
• Lead monthly reporting and variance analysis for technology portfolios.
• Support forecasting, planning, and annual operating plan components.
• Create scalable analyses and automated reporting workflows.
• Collaborate across Finance and Technology to ensure aligned assumptions and reporting.
