Job summary

Texoma Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is seeking an Endo Tech to support endoscopic procedures at our Denison, Texas campus.

The role requires knowledge of anatomy, aseptic technique, and the ability to prepare and clean rooms between procedures. The candidate should have at least 1 year of endoscopy experience, be able to respond to call within 30 minutes, and complete the GI Technical Specialist certification within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Reading and numerical competency.
• Minimum of 1 year endoscopy experience.
• BLS Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines before working.
• Must complete GI Technical Specialist (GTS) certification within 1 year.
• Read and write at 12th grade level; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of surgical sites; aseptic technique.
• Prepare room prior to endoscopic procedures and clean room after procedure.
• Assist staff and surgeons to ensure instruments, supplies, and equipment are available for endo procedures.
• Take assigned call as required; respond within 30 minutes.

BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines must be completed during new hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting.

As an Endo Tech, must complete the GI Technical Specialist (GTS) certification within 1 year

Able to read and write on a 12th grade level. Basic computer skills. Requires the ability to respond to call within 30 minutes.
