Job summary

Oxford Instruments: X-Ray Technology in Scotts Valley, CA seeks a Project Manager to lead development and delivery of new products from planning through launch and first customer deliveries.

You will drive PM governance, align cross-functional teams, and manage projects involving hardware and software in a high-tech setting, using Smartsheet or MS Project. A PMP/PRINCE2/Agile background is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience managing complex projects across multi-functional teams in a high-tech environment.
• Experience delivering hardware and software products through full product development lifecycle.
• Proficiency with PM tools such as Smartsheet, Monday.com, or Microsoft Project.
• Knowledge of project governance, issue tracking, and status reporting.
• Understanding of stage-gate governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Own, implement, and continuously operate the PM framework and governance cadence.
• Ensure PM processes are adopted across engineering and cross-functional teams.
• Translate frameworks and plans into operational practices that improve delivery outcomes.
• Drive alignment of deliverables, ownership, and timelines across stakeholders.
• Ensure accountability and timely recovery when deviations occur.
• Establish and maintain a consistent project governance cadence and actions tracking.
• Lead through others, coaching and mentorship, focusing on leadership over direct execution.
