Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring a Diet Technician (FT) at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH. The role requires NDTR registration and a Bachelor’s in Nutrition; prior hospital experience is preferred and MS Office/EMR skills are expected.

Wage range is $19–$25 per hour, with a 40-hour workweek and a Monday–Friday schedule. The Diet Tech will assist the Dietitian with data collection, menu planning, and patient menu selections, while

Qualifications

• Credentialed as a Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related Science required.
• One year hospital experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office, EMR and diet office systems; able to perform nutrient analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Dietitian with patient data collection, nutrition screening, and modified menu planning.
• Assists patients in completing menu selections.
• Follows the Diet Manual and Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures.
• Complies with federal, state, and accrediting standards; maintains confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Trains and mentors patient services staff and interns as applicable.
• Participates in patient satisfaction programs and Quality Improvement initiatives.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Diet Technician (FT) to join our Nutrition Team in an acute care medical center.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists the Dietitian with patient data collection, nutrition screening, and modified menu planning
• Assists patients in completing menu selections
• Follows all guidelines as outlined within the Company Diet Manual and the Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual
• Complies with all regulatory standards to include federal, state, and accrediting agencies, while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies
• Trains and mentors patient services staff and interns as applicable
• Participates in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs

Qualifications

• Credentialed as a Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or related Science, required
• One (1) year of hospital experience, preferred
• Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft office applications, electronic medical record & diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming
