Job summary

Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas is seeking a Dialysis Technician (CCHT) to provide direct patient care through basic hemodialysis procedures and routine monitoring under supervision. You will handle water testing, blood draws, and specimen preparation for the lab, ensuring quality control and safe patient care.

The role requires CMS dialysis technician certification, BLS, and at least 1 year of related experience. Computer literacy is also required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: One (1) year of recent experience as a Dialysis Technician, CMA, CNA, Phlebotomist, Surgical Technician, First Responder, EMT, ED Tech or LPN required.
• License/Certification: CMS recognized dialysis technician certification and BLS certifications required.
• Other: Must be computer literate.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

The Dialysis Technician (CCHT) is responsible for direct patient care. Direct patient care includes performance of basic hemodialysis techniques and procedures, daily patient care and observations under the direct supervision and guidance of a registered nurse. This position is responsible for assigned water testing. The Dialysis Tech will draw blood samples and prepare them for transport to the laboratory. This position is also responsible for required laboratory tests as well as quality control monitoring. The Dialysis Tech participates in quality improvement activities to maintain patient care standards.
