Job summary

DBR Engineering Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Technology Design Director in Houston to provide technical leadership, mentor junior designers, and drive high-quality engineering design across multiple projects.

The candidate will collaborate with Practice Area Leaders and Project Managers to guide standards, training, and client engagements. The role requires PE licensure, strong Revit/AutoCAD/BIM drafting skills, and willingness to travel to other office locations at least annually.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with current registration.
• Experience leading designers and engineers on complex projects.
• Familiarity with design standards, QA processes, and client presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams and mentor staff across projects.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to define scope, complexity, and scheduling.
• Represent the firm in client interactions and external presentations.
• Participate in QC reviews and ensure design quality across DBR projects.
• Travel to other office locations at least once per year.
