Job summary

WCL Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Attorney in New York to support Procurement by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a high volume of technology and commercial agreements. The role partners with IT, Security, and Privacy to address vendor risks and AI governance in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience, a JD from a U.S.-accredited school, and strong knowledge of SaaS, software licensing, and cloud services.

Qualifications

• Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements, including MSAs and SOWs for SaaS and IT procurement.
• Licensed to practice law in New York; 8+ years of experience in a law firm or in-house setting.
• Experience with internet/technology/media companies in a procurement or commercial contracting environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements, with a focus on MSAs and SOWs for SaaS and IT procurement.
• Act as the dedicated legal liaison for the NASB Procurement team.
• Collaborate with Procurement, IT, Security, and Privacy to assess vendor risks related to privacy laws, data security requirements, and AI governance.
• Ensure consistent contract standards across the organization.
• Develop and improve collaborative procurement processes, policies, and legal playbooks.
• Stay current on developments in laws, regulations, and industry trends applicable to digital media and technology platforms.
• Provide proactive legal guidance and manage legal risks while supporting business objectives.
