Job summary

The Maschhoffs in Louisville, IL is seeking a hands-on animal production specialist to drive pig performance by following SOPs, managing feed, water, and ventilation, and responding to alarms. Expect routine weekend tasks and on-site data collection in a dynamic pork production setting.

You will coordinate with R&D leaders on study protocols, assist in data validation, and help recruit and onboard new employees while maintaining facilities and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Drive pig performance by following SOPs, caring for individual pigs, and managing feed, water, and ventilation systems.
• Learn and operate all hardware and software for scales, feed, and ventilation systems; respond to alarms any time.
• Coordinate with R&D Leadership to design study protocols and manage on-site data collection.
• Assist in data validation, reporting learnings, and leading research activities across centers.
• Support recruitment and onboarding of new employees; promote company culture and development.
• Maintain facilities and equipment; ensure cleanliness and routine maintenance.
