Job summary

Allied Universal in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Security Officer - General Duty to protect clients across tech/telecom environments. You will patrol, monitor access points, and deliver customer service while upholding site policies.

The role is full-time with daytime/overnight schedule. Must be at least 18 (21 for armed) and have a high school diploma; background checks and drug screening apply. CPR/First Aid preferred; licensing as required by state.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age (21+ for armed roles).
• Background check and drug screen as conditions of employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while enforcing site policies and safety procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and report issues.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials as directed.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and responders.
