WithumSmith+Brown,PC is seeking a Tech Audit Supervisor for the East Brunswick, NJ / New York City, NY area. You will lead audit engagements, guiding staffing, planning, fieldwork, and conclusions while collaborating with partners on issue resolution.

The role emphasizes strong client service, supervision of staff, and the ability to travel as needed. A CPA license and a Bachelor’s in Accounting are required, with healthcare audit experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; CPA license preferred.
• At least 3 years of public accounting experience, with leading engagements and supervising staff.
• Experience auditing healthcare systems and hospitals is preferred but not required.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills with familiarity with US GAAP.

Tech Audit Supervisor – East Brunswick, NJ / New York City, NY

Withum's Auditing and Attest Engagement services are the cornerstone of our firm. In this role, you will lead audit engagements, providing world‑class service to clients across a range of industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engagement team staff on the planning and execution of audit, review, or compilation engagements.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the audit engagement, including staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting, and conclusion.
• Provide supervision and support to staff, seniors, supervisors, and promote open communication to the engagement partner.
• Collaborate with engagement team seniors, supervisors, and partners on client issue resolution and make recommendations for any legal, regulatory, and accounting issues that arise during an audit engagement.
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines.
• Create and track engagement budgets to review for inefficiencies that may arise during the audit.
• Conduct constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and provide counsel accordingly.
• Serve in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and CPA license.
• At least 3 years of public accounting experience, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
• Experience auditing healthcare systems and hospitals is preferred but not required.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills, including familiarity with USGAAP.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects.
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the firm well to client management.
• Strong analytical, organizational, project management skills, strong attention to detail, and proven innovative problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to travel as needed based on client assignments.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges by location. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and a bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Final offer amounts are based on multiple factors such as the specific role, hiring location, and the individual’s skills, experience, and qualifications. NewYork City salary ranges from \$90,000 to \$165,000 annually. EastBrunswick salary ranges from \$85,000 to \$175,000 annually.
