Job summary

Withum’s Financial Services Audit Manager role is based in multiple locations including Boca Raton, FL and more. You will lead audit engagements, supervise teams, and collaborate across partners to resolve client issues while upholding US GAAP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• CPA license is required.
• At least 5 years of public accounting experience, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
• Experience with audits of funds such as private equity, venture capital, hedge and fund of funds.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including familiarity with US GAAP.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects.
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to client's management.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, strong attention to detail, and proven innovative problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Leading or supervising the engagement team staff on the planning and execution of an audit, review or compilation engagement to effectively and efficiently provide world‑class client service to clients.
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the audit engagement from staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting and the conclusion.
• Providing supervision and support to the engagement staff, seniors and supervisors and promote open communication to the engagement partner.
• Collaborating with engagement team seniors or supervisors and partners on client issue resolution and making recommendations for any legal, regulatory and accounting issues that arise during an audit engagement.
• Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines.
• Creating and tracking engagement budgets to review for inefficiencies that may arise during the audit.
• Conducting constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and providing counsel accordingly.
• Serving in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.

This Financial Services Audit Manager role will be based out of our East Brunswick, NJ; Whippany, NJ; Red Bank, NJ; Orlando, FL; Boca Raton, FL or New York City office. You'll work alongside an integrated team of seasoned, well-known CPAs and industry leaders. The compensation for this position will vary by location. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance. Orlando ranges are from $100,000 to $170,000 annually
Red Bank ranges are from $110,000 to $175,000 annually
New York City ranges are from $110,000 to $180,000 annually
Whippany ranges are from $105,000 to $165,000 annually
Boca Raton ranges are from $100,000 to $170,000 annually
