Job summary

Withum's Tech Audit Manager based in Los Angeles leads audit engagements, reviews and compilations, guiding staff and coordinating with partners to ensure high-quality client service. The role offers a path toward Partnership and works with seasoned CPAs and industry leaders.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in public accounting, CPA license, and strong PCAOB, GAAP knowledge, with excellent client service and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• CPA license required.
• Experience auditing commercial clients including SEC registrants and understanding PCAOB auditing standards.
• At least 5 years of public accounting experience, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including familiarity with US GAAP.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
• Ability to travel as needed based on client assignments.

Responsibilities

• Leading the engagement team staff on planning and execution of an audit, review or compilation engagement to provide world-class client service.
• Overseeing day-to-day operations of the audit engagement from staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting and the conclusion.
• Providing supervision and support to the engagement staff, seniors and supervisors and promote open communication to the engagement partner.
• Collaborating with engagement team seniors or supervisors and partners on client issue resolution and make recommendations for any legal, regulatory and accounting issues that arise during an audit engagement.
• Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines.
• Creating and track engagement budgets to review for inefficiencies that may arise during the audit.
• Conducting constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and providing counsel accordingly.
• Serving in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.
