Job summary

Schnabel is seeking an Assistant Technology Applications Engineer in the Chadds Ford area to help evaluate, test, and implement new technologies that improve engineering workflows and client solutions.

You will collaborate with technical experts across the company to identify opportunities, run pilots, and drive adoption of tech-based solutions, contributing to Schnabel's RDI initiatives and industry leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork.
• Ability to learn new technologies and adapt.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and data.
• Willingness for occasional field work at construction sites.
• Interest in dams, tunnels, and transportation infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify emerging technologies for engineering and operations.
• Assist with technology evaluations through pilots and proofs of concept.
• Support development and implementation of tech solutions to improve workflows.
• Create training materials, user guides, onboarding resources.
• Contribute to presentations, webinars, proposals, and business development.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate tech into projects.
• Stay informed on industry technology trends.
• Provide technical support during deployment and adoption.
