Job summary

Christ Covenant is seeking a full-time Production Tech to assist the Tech & A/V Director with Sunday services, events, and campus productions.

You will manage AVL systems, coordinate volunteers, handle recording/editing projects, and support equipment upgrades and budget administration.

Qualifications

• 3 years of substantial experience in live event production.
• Experience with various mixing consoles and deep knowledge of signal flow.
• Proficiency in video production including video switchers and ProPresenter.
• Understanding of lighting programming and control systems.
• Familiarity with Avid Pro Tools for recording/editing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all AVL for Sunday services and events at the Armour Campus.

About the role

This role is a full-time role at Christ Covenant. The purpose of this position is to assist the Tech & A/V Director with any needs as described below. Below are expectations for this position to be responsible and accountable for during each performance review cycle.

What you'll do

Sunday Services and Events

• Oversee all audio, visual, and lighting needs for Sunday services and other events at the Christ Covenant, Armour Campus.
• Interface with the various ministries of the Church and provide production support for ministry events and Sunday morning services
• Serve as Production Tech as directed by the Technical Director
• Assist the Technical Director with recording projects including but not limited to the following: podcast editing and mixing, general event recordings and file distribution, assisting in musical recording, editing, and mixing projects of Christ Covenant

Equipment Management

• Ensure that all AVL systems are up-to-date, clean, and functioning per the needs of the ministries of the facility (with the guidance of the Technical Director) including the following tasks: Upgrade equipment as necessary, routine firmware/ software updates, clean equipment regularly and practice general tidiness, file management.
• Assist the Tech & A/V Director with equipment upgrades and maintenance.
• Make equipment suggestions and purchases (under the supervision of the Tech & A/V Director)

Volunteers

• Recruit, train, schedule, and manage volunteer and contractor teams for Sunday services, ministry events, and non-ministry events
• Train ministry leaders in the use of AVL systems as needed

Other

• Assist in managing the Production budget
• Recording, editing, and distributing of ministry gathering content including but not limited to: Sunday worship services, Young Adult services, Ministry Events, etc.
• Ensure payments to contractors and vendors are done promptly following finance policies and procedures

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3 years of substantial experience in live event production.
• Experience with various mixing consoles, deep knowledge in signal flow, and proficiencies in Avid Pro Tools
• Proficiencies in video production including video switchers, camera operation, and computer graphics (ProPresenter)
• Understanding of programming lighting systems
• Character congruent with the biblical requirements for leaders (1 Tim. 3:1-13; 2 Tim. 2; Titus 1:5-9)

Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications

• Licenses and Certifications preferred but not required: Dante, QSys, Davinci Resolve

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must practice general safety in lift operation
