Job summary

Patterson-UTI Drilling Company, LLC is seeking a Yard/Equipment Specialist to manage yard operations, inventory, and equipment maintenance at the Texas yard. You will operate bulk equipment, process material transfers, and ensure cleanliness and readiness of the yard environment.

The role requires experience with heavy machinery, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work weekends or on-call shifts. Valid driver's license and relocation flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' general experience with heavy equipment and machinery in the oil industry.
• Must have and maintain a valid-issued driver's licence and be eligible to drive company vehicle including ability to meet requirements of company's Vehicle Use Agreement and Driving Policy
• Must live within a 1 hour driving distance to the yard or be willing to relocate to the assigned area

• Process all material and equipment transfers within yard using a Field Mobility System (FMS)
• Create, process, and complete workplace order and assist to others in the organization with similar tasks using FMS
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Detailed Description:

• Operate yard equipment within Company's specified guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness and availability of yard
• Maintain all equipment to remain in operational condition
• Conduct routine maintenance at temperatures
• Conduct sensors and monitor equipment (equipment, etc.) leaving, holding and navigation the yard
• Goods receipt (GR) of items (equipment, parts, etc.) arriving in yard
• Assist with Regional Yard Inventory Process
• Assist in inventory of tubuloads for region
• Assist in Parts Inventory Process

Job Requirements:

• Ability to safely navigate work sites with occasional walking, climbing, standing, stepping, etc. during normal operating conditions (day/night, outdoor hot/cold weather)
• Lift and carry 50 pounds independently while walking on uneven surfaces
• Bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawl occasionally during normal work duties
• Moderate use of a variety of hand and power tools to demonstrate a range of mechanically oriented functions including independent use of heavy-duty handheld and long-handled tools
• Clear vision to judge near and far distances to maintain awareness of, watch, and report ongoing work activities to coworkers and third parties
• Listen for unusual noises that signify equipment and machinery problems
• Maintain spatial orientation and awareness to safely move around work environment with many moving objects
• Stay alert and focused including during occasional extended work periods
• Demonstrate clear communication skills and ability to promptly give, and follow, directions when working with others
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklift, manlift, Tandem, Pole Truck etc.
• Ability to work on weekends and be on call after hours
• Must possess basic computer skills in Microsoft Office
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all designated times

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years' general experience with heavy equipment and machinery in the oil industry
