Job summary

Asset Reliability Center (ARC) in Texas is seeking a Warehouse/Materials Supervisor to oversee receipt, storage, and shipment of materials for the oilfield remanufacture facility. You will ensure items for Field Service and Production are available and lead a variable-sized team, reporting to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities include ERP-based material transactions, inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and coordinating inbound/outbound shipments while maintaining safety and house standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years oil field equipment experience preferred.
  • Live within 1-hour drive or relocate as needed.
  • Able to operate forklift and hydraulic lift trucks.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety compliance.
  • Proficient with ERP systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Use ERP to perform material transactions and inventory controls.
  • Verify shipment contents against manifests and orders.
  • Record shipment data for domestic and international shipments.
  • Package and ship materials; route to departments as needed.
  • Maintain organized, clean warehouse and safety standards.

The EYS works closely with the operations team and ensures that all items for Field Service and Production are available for the teams that need them. The EYS leads, supervises, and will direct a variable sized team of additional personnel depending on operational requirements.

This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Detailed Description
  • Use a manufacturing system (ERP) to perform material transactions
  • Use a manufacturing system (ERP) to maintain inventory accuracy, perform cycle counts and print inventory reports
  • Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes for domestic and international shipments
  • Package and prepare materials for shipments and make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials
  • Deliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, forklifts, or sorting bins
  • Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock
  • Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped
  • Manage the process of unloading and loading trailers, picking up, packing and shipping stock, tracking and counting material and placing materials in proper locations
  • Utilize the established tools, equipment and technologies required to initiate or complete transactions related to in and outbound processes within the warehouse
  • Driving forklifts, including narrow aisle reach
  • Maintain a well-organized and clean work environment
  • Ensure that safety procedures are followed in accordance with established regulations e.g.OSHA, PPE, etc.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment and facility records by following preventative maintenance schedule
  • Ensure all material and equipment transactions within the facility are completed in accordance with Company policies and procedures
  • Ensure safe operation, maintenance, and inspection of Company-owned/operated equipment in the yard in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Always maintain the work site with a clean and orderly appearance in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all equipment stored in the yard is in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct a Comprehensive Shop, Yard, and Office inspection and audit monthly, ensuring the timely correction of all non-conformities.
Job Requirements
  • Excellent computer skills to include ERP systems as well as the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to safely lift and carry 50 pounds independently
  • Must be very detailed oriented and thorough
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, department representatives, management, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to work effectively with others in a team-based environment to accomplish company goals and to identify and resolve shipping and receiving issues
  • Ability to operate hydraulic lift trucks, forklift, and other material handling equipment
  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools to demonstrate a range of mechanically oriented functions including independent use of heavy-duty handheld and long-handled tools
  • Use vision to judge near and far distances to maintain awareness of, watch for, and report ongoing work activities to co-workers and third parties
  • Listen for unusual noises that signify equipment and machinery problems
  • Accurately recall of information over short and long-term memory
  • Maintain spatial orientation and awareness to safely move around work environment with many moving objects
  • Remain alert and focused during occasional periods of extended work hours.
  • Demonstrate clear communication skills and ability to promptly give and follow directions when working with others
  • Immediately respond to emergency situations
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all designated times
  • Proficiency with written and oral communication
  • Possess knowledge and experience in inventory management
  • Must be able to accurately enter and manage data related to EAM processes and report on appropriate metrics based on information maintained within the database (e.g. computer workstation)
  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills including ability to interact productively with coworkers and third parties
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years oil field equipment and capable of identifying different assets associated to the maintenance repair facilities
  • Must be eligible to drive a company vehicle and meet the requirements of the company vehicle use agreement and driving policy
  • Live within a 1-hour driving distance to the yard or be willing to relocate to the assigned area
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience in oil field services or a related industry
  • 2+ years working experience in an ERP system
  • Previous managerial experience
  • Previous work experience in a maintenance and/or asset management system
  • Previous work experience in purchasing or shipping and receiving
  • Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills is essential
Working Conditions

This position requires the person to work in both an office and remanufacture warehouse facility environment. The position must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. Also must be able to work closely with others and under deadlines including time-sensitive response situations and be willing to work extended schedules that will include working days; and occasionally nights, weekends and holidays.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Lead and manage warehouse assistants to support operations.
