Job Duties

• Understand building and fire codes.
• Install fire-stopping materials in new and existing commercial construction applications.
• Install caulking at penetrations and joints using a bulk caulk gun, pulling product out of buckets, using 'sausage' packs, or standard tubes.
• Inspect work to ensure the installation meets code standards and was completed per UL Design.
• Read blueprints and life safety drawings.
• Access to penetrations and joints may require use of boom lifts, scissor lifts, swing stage, scaffolds, and ladders.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside.
• Physically able to perform assigned tasks.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time.
• Must be comfortable working from heights.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Some sites may require a background check.

On-the-job training offered. This position is safety-sensitive.
