Overview

Responsibilities

• Installs caulking at penetrations and joints using a bulk caulk gun, pulling product out of buckets, using ‘sausage’ packs, or standard tubes.
• Inspect their work to ensure installation was done per UL Design.
• Ability to read blueprints / life safety drawings.
• Access to penetrations and joints may require use of boom lifts, scissor lifts, swing stage, scaffolds, and ladders.
• Regularly sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; as well as climb or balance and talk or hear.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 15 pounds occasionally.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Past firestop experience preferred.
• Must have dependable transportation; must be able to travel out of town, both on overnight and day trips.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
