Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking fire‑stopping installer who is looking for growth to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand safety on the job site.
• Coordinate the installation process at the job site (unload equipment, place the hose in the location of installation, etc.).
• Use basic trade math fundamentals to assist the supervisor with costs.
• Inspect firewalls per NFPA code and provide accurate documentation for customers' code compliance.
• Maintain professional, timely communication with customers.
• Review and learn blueprinting, sketching, perspectives, and terminology.
• Develop an understanding of the relationship between cost, blueprint reading, and material estimating.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; at least six months of construction experience.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure and read measurements off a blueprint.
• Dependable transportation and willingness to travel out of town for overnight and one‑day trips.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
