Aspire Bakeries LLC is seeking a Sanitor for the Santa Ana bakery to maintain clean and sanitized production areas in line with SSOPs and food-safety standards.

You will disassemble/reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning, follow GMPs, handle cleaning chemicals safely, and keep sanitation records to support a compliant bakery. First shift: 5AM–1:30PM. Hourly pay: $19–$23.

Qualifications

• Elementary-level literacy in English and/or Spanish.
• No previous sanitation experience required.
• Able to work safely around moving mechanical equipment and in wet or humid conditions.
• Able to frequently stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

About the Role

We are seeking a Sanitor to join our team at our Santa Ana bakery. As a Sanitor, you will be accountable for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment and production areas according to Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), helping ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

• Hourly Rate: $19-$23

• Shift: 1st
• Hours: 5AM-1:30PM
• Weekends: As required by the business

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll be Doing)

• Clean and sanitize production equipment and production areas in accordance with SSOPs, company requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Disassemble and reassemble production equipment efficiently to support thorough and effective cleaning.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all applicable food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
• Handle and use cleaning chemicals according to established procedures, chemical properties, and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate cleaning and sanitation records for equipment and production areas.
• Organize and maintain the chemical room, ensuring chemicals are properly labeled, stored, and handled.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and leadership while supporting a safe, clean, and compliant bakery environment.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• Elementary-level literacy in English and/or Spanish.
• No previous sanitation experience required.
• Ability to work safely around moving mechanical equipment and in wet or humid conditions.
• Ability to work in environments that may include flour dust, moderate to loud noise, temperature changes, and occasional extreme heat or cold.
• Ability to frequently stand and walk and occasionally reach, climb, or balance while performing assigned duties.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with reasonable accommodations as applicable.
• Ability to safely communicate and observe workplace conditions while working around bakery equipment.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• GMP/HACCP certification.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Familiarity with sanitation procedures in a food manufacturing or bakery environment.
• Knowledge of safe cleaning chemical handling and storage practices.
