Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a lead to manage complex sort, warehouse, ramp and yard operations, ensuring accuracy of paperwork and adherence to proper methods for efficient operations.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and at least 6 months as a FedEx handler; ability to lift 50 lbs and train others; shift is Monday–Friday 2:00pm–12:00am.

Qualifications

• Six months FedEx handler experience, preferably including 3 months in the area of the open position.
• Ability to successfully complete basic and currency training.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages over 50 lbs with equipment or assistance.
• Good communication and ability to coach/train employees during sort operations.

Responsibilities

Leads employees in complex sort, warehouse, ramp and/or yard functions in the proper handling of packages/freight, accuracy/completeness of necessary paperwork and proper methods are followed; thereby, ensuring effective operations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience

Six (6) months FedEx handler experience which preferably includes 3 months work experience In work area which has the open position.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to successfully complete basic and re-currency training. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. With appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person. Good human relations and communication skills. Ability to coach and train employees during sort operations. Ability to prioritize assignments and make quick decisions with available information. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and delegate responsibilities in a time sensitive manner in noisy operations environment. Good understanding of FedEx systems and operations.

Job Conditions
