Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. seeks a Teamcenter business analyst for a 12+ month contract in Fremont, CA. The role blends business analysis with PLM expertise to bridge stakeholders, SMEs, and technical teams.

The candidate will drive requirements across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, translating needs into Teamcenter-capable specifications. Responsibilities include facilitating workshops, documenting BRDs/FDDs, and ensuring traceability from business needs to implemented solutions

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst in Teamcenter / PLM implementations.
• Deep understanding of engineering processes (BOM, change management, product structure).
• Experience in writing user stories, BRDs/FDDs, and process documentation.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., ADO/JIRA).
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across global teams.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical context.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, SMEs, and technical teams for PLM initiatives.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain processes.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria aligned with Teamcenter capabilities.
• Drive workshops, requirement elicitation sessions, and stakeholder discussions with distributed global teams.
• Define and standardize engineering processes such as BOM alignment, change management, and configuration releases.
• Collaborate with architects to ensure solution alignment with PLM roadmap and BMIDE data modeling inputs.
• Prepare and maintain FDDs, process flows, and use cases; support data migration and reporting planning.
• Coordinate with support teams for smooth transition to operations and ensure compliance with governance.

Job description

Immediate need for a talented Teamcenter business analyst. This is a 12+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Fremont, CA (Hybrid).

Pay Range: $60 - $65/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, SMEs, and technical teams for PLM initiatives
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain processes
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria aligned with Teamcenter capabilities
• Drive workshops, requirement elicitation sessions, and stakeholder discussions with distributed global teams
• Define and standardize engineering processes such as:
• BOM (EBOM/MBOM alignment)
• Change management (ECR/ECO/ECN)
• Configuration and release processes
• Collaborate with architects to ensure solution alignment with business processes and PLM roadmap
• Prepare and maintain functional design documents (FDD), process flows, and use cases
• Support BMIDE data modeling discussions by providing functional inputs (attributes, classifications, rules)
• Work with integration teams to define functional requirements for SAP, MES, CAD (NX), and other system integrations
• Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization in Agile delivery model
• Validate delivered functionality through functional testing, UAT coordination, and sign-offs
• Ensure traceability of requirements from business needs to implemented solutions
• Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities in current PLM processes
• Support data migration activities by defining mapping, validation, and business rules
• Assist in defining reporting, dashboards, and KPIs for engineering and operations teams
• Prepare training materials, user guides, and support business adoption of Teamcenter solutions
• Coordinate with support teams to ensure smooth transition to operations
• Ensure compliance with standards, governance processes, and change management practices
• Provide inputs for effort estimation, scope definition, and solution planning

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst in Teamcenter / PLM implementations
