Job summary

Kro​enke Sports & Entertainment's Avalanche Agency in Denver is seeking a dynamic sports video editor and videographer to capture, edit, and deliver compelling content across brand channels.

The ideal candidate combines storytelling with fast-paced production, delivering highlights, features, and social videos, while traveling to road games and events as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as video editor/videographer in sports
• Proficiency with Premiere Pro & After Effects
• Strong color correction, audio mixing, and sound design
• Experience shooting with professional cameras in sports environments
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
• Excellent storytelling and collaboration skills
• Willingness to travel to road games

Responsibilities

• Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality video content for live games, practices, and travel.
• Edit footage into engaging highlights, recaps, game previews/recaps, player features, and social videos.
• Color grade and finalize videos for broadcast/web with consistent branding and tone.
• Manage audio: clean dialogue, ambient sound, and music; ensure proper levels and licensing compliance.
• Collaborate with content team, marketing, social team, and PR to pitch ideas and understand project goals and audience.
• Meet agreed-upon deadlines for weekly/seasonal content.
• Maintain and organize media library, backups, and project files; ensure metadata is consistent for easy retrieval.
• Stay current with industry trends, camera gear, editing techniques, and platform best practices for sports content.
• Produce occasional long-form content and feature stories as needed.
• Ensure safety and compliance during on-site shoots (venue rules, athlete privacy, and medical guidelines as applicable).

The Colorado Avalanche is seeking a dynamic, technically skilled Sports Video Editor and Videographer to capture, edit, and deliver compelling video content across our brand channels. The ideal candidate will combine strong storytelling with fast-paced production skills, delivering high-quality footage and engaging highlight reels, feature stories, and social content.

Responsibilities

• Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality video content for live games, practices, travel, player profiles, promos, and behind-the-scenes features.
• Edit footage into engaging highlights, recaps, game previews/recaps, player features, and short-form social videos optimized for platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X/Twitter, Facebook,etc).
• Color grade and finalize videos for broadcast/web with consistent branding and tone.
• Manage audio: clean dialogue, ambient sound, and music; ensure proper levels and licensing compliance.
• Collaborate with content team, marketing, social team, and PR to pitch ideas and understand project goals and audience.
• Meet agreed-upon deadlines for weekly/seasonal content.
• Maintain and organize media library, backups, and project files; ensure metadata is consistent for easy retrieval.
• Stay current with industry trends, camera gear, editing techniques, and platform best practices for sports content.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a video editor and videographer, with a strong sports portfolio (highlights, features, promos, or documentary-style work).
• Proficiency with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects or similar motion-graphics tools)
• Solid knowledge of color correction/grading, audio mixing, and basic sound design.
• Experience shooting with professional video cameras, lens choices, lighting, and audio equipment in sports environments.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong storytelling sense, composition, and knowledge of sports dynamics to capture compelling moments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work irregular hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) as events occur.
• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to road games, practices and other Team events.
