Job summary

New Hope Treatment Centers in Dallas, NC is seeking an experienced Team Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations and provide a safe, structured environment for youth and staff.

You will supervise direct-care staff, promote trauma-informed practices, ensure safety and compliance, and collaborate with leadership to support youth and families.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in behavioral health, mental health, or child welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight to ensure a safe, structured, and supportive environment for youth and staff.
  • Model trauma-informed leadership by promoting consistency, safety, trust, respect, and accountability.
  • Supervise, coach, and support direct-care staff while reinforcing performance expectations and organizational standards.
  • Ensure daily routines, activities, rules, and expectations are developmentally appropriate and consistently implemented.
  • Promote positive relationships between staff and youth while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Support youth voice, choice, participation, and engagement in daily activities.
  • Respond appropriately to behavioral concerns, incidents, and emergencies in accordance with New Hope policies and procedures.
  • Monitor staff performance, attendance, documentation, and completion of assigned responsibilities.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and ensure appropriate coverage.
  • Identify signs of stress and burnout among staff and promote appropriate wellness and support strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and other departments regarding staffing concerns, incidents, and operational updates.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable NC DHHS, DHSR, Joint Commission, licensing, safety, and organizational standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen team performance, quality, safety, and the overall youth experience.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Team Supervisor to join our team in Dallas, NC.


Essential Functions

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and working with youth with behavioral and emotional needs.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and staff-development skills.

  • Ability to effectively supervise staff and manage competing priorities.

  • Knowledge of residential or group-home environments preferred.

  • Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to respond calmly and professionally during challenging situations.

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict‑resolution skills.

  • Sound professional judgment and ethical decision‑making.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and team members.

  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.

  • Commitment to creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment for youth and staff.
