Job summary

Papa John’s is hiring a Production Team Member at our food manufacturing plant in the United States. You will produce high quality dough, maintain equipment in a sanitised environment, and ensure dough handling meets quality standards.

Shifts available: 1st (5am-2pm) and 2nd (2pm-11pm). Pay up to $20/hr. We offer benefits, tuition support, and opportunities for advancement within a smaller team environment.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in production/manufacturing preferred.
• Food handling certification preferred.
• Ability to read and understand written or verbal policy in English.

Responsibilities

• Place dough balls into clean trays according to PJ Food Service standards.
• Ensure dough trays are dated, rotated and properly stacked.
• Maintain GMP standards for cleanliness and sanitation.
• Pre-soak trays and process through tray washer.
• Lock out/tag out dough production equipment prior to cleaning.
• Wash, rinse and sanitize production equipment and room.
• Document sanitation, rejection, and dough weight records.
• Follow safety practices and wear PPE as required.
• Perform general housekeeping in the Quality Control Center.
• Operate floor maintenance equipment to clean floors.

We are looking for a Production Team Member at our food manufacturing plant who is responsible for producing high quality dough, maintaining all equipment in a highly sanitized environment, and ensuring all dough is handled properly.

1st shift (5am-2pm) and 2nd shift (2pm-11pm) available!

Pay up to $20/hr.

What’s On The Menu

• Place dough balls into clean trays according to PJ Food Service standards.
• Ensure all dough trays are properly dated, stacked and down-stack proper number of trays and maintain rotation practices at proper cooling temperature(s).
• Maintain and document Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards on cleanliness and sanitation to ensure product is free of contamination or foreign material.
• Pre-soak dough trays and process through tray washer.
• Perform advanced lock out/tag out of all dough production equipment prior to cleaning/sanitizing.
• Wash, rinse and sanitize all dough processing equipment and production room upon completion of production.
• Document and sign off on various processes in dough production (sanitation, rejection procedure, dough weight, etc.)
• Adhere to all prescribed safety practices, including wearing the proper safety equipment/uniform.
• Perform general housekeeping for the Quality Control Center as requested.
• Operate floor maintenance equipment to clean carpets and other flooring.
• Use cleaning chemicals and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in a safe and proper manner.
• Ensure compliance with Safety standards, Sanitation and HACCP policies & procedures, federal, state and local regulations (OSHA, FDA, DOL) and all Papa John's International, Inc., policies & procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Critical Ingredients

• High school or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Food handling certification preferred.
• Ability to read and/or understand written and/or verbal policy, instruction and direction in English required.
• Good eye/hand coordination needed.
• Experience at repetitive activity for a prolonged period of time.
• Basic mathematical skills preferred.
• Basic mechanical skills preferred.
