Job summary

International Motors, LLC is seeking a dependable team member to support Production & Logistics operations in our Texas facility. You will follow standard work instructions, operate safety equipment, and contribute to a clean, organized workspace while helping meet production targets.

The role requires 1 year of materials, warehouse, or manufacturing experience, plus the ability to work across assembly, supply chain, quality, and MRO tasks.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in materials, warehouse or inventory control.
  • At least 1 year of manufacturing / production experience.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Able to perform the physical requirements listed (lifting, standing, bending, reaching).

Responsibilities

  • Reads and follows standard work instructions, position standards, and SOPs.
  • Operates forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Performs material handling, inventory counts, and trailer loading/unloading.
  • Maintains 5S and organized workspace; supports team operations and training.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Works within the Production & Logistics (P&L) Way, reads and follows verbal and standard written work instructions (SWI), position standards, and standard operating procedures.
  • Demonstrates appropriate P&L Way attitudes & behaviors, core values, and excellent attendance.
  • Practices safe work behavior, including the utilization of proper safety equipment and adherence to safety guidelines. Identifies and corrects or escalates potentially unsafe situations/conditions.
  • Complies with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements; reports hazards, environmental risks, and incidents, uses required PPE; operates equipment safety, and helps maintain a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
  • Demonstrates a 100% mindset and takes full ownership and responsibility of position/station. Understands impact of work to outcomes and production interdependencies.
  • Demonstrates working proficiency in the department’s core processes, with the ability to independently execute standard workflows and identify routine issues, escalating more complex problems as needed.
  • Meets the required competency or certification standards for workstations, areas and processes per the department skills matrix.
  • Executes standard work within takt and demonstrates proper Andon utilization, exhibiting the courage to speak up, identify deviations, and initiate communication without hesitation. Exhibits the “Right from me” behavior.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement efforts and problem-solving methods, updates standard work instructions.
  • Active participant in driving safety, normal situation, 5S standards, good organization of workspace, and housekeeping.
  • Performs routine inspections on products, processes, and materials to ensure work output meets product specifications.
  • Can explain issues and targets on the RTM board and take responsibility for countermeasures and actions.
  • Keeps Team Lead and Supervisor informed of any issues or challenges.
  • Other duties as assigned.

General Assembly / Body departments:

  • Assembles and installs commercial truck parts and components using hand tools, air tools and/or power tools according to standard work instructions (SWI).
  • Performs fitting, bolting, routing, clipping and connecting components or equipment according to product specifications.
  • Works with cranes, hoists, and other safety sensitive equipment to load fixtures, install components or move equipment.

Supply Chain/Logistics departments:

  • Operates mobile equipment including forklifts, tuggers, and cherry pickers.
  • Performs material handling, including loading and unloading trailers.
  • Processes materials paperwork and/or system entry and conducts inventory counts.
  • Receives, stores and retrieves and delivers parts to point of assembly on time.
  • Performs sub-assembly and kitting for production.

Quality departments:

  • Performs quality process validation to comply with customer requirements and quality standards for International vehicles.
  • Escalates deviations and documents records in the Manufacturing Execution System.
  • Traces status of deviations, completed actions, and validate readiness for delivery to customer.

Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) Department:

  • Assist with spare parts inventory, including receiving, issuing, transfers, and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
  • Support use of CMMS/ERP systems for basic transactions, data entry, and requisitions.
  • Help kit parts for work orders and issue/track tools and materials for maintenance activities.
  • Follow standard work, maintain organization (5S), and support team operations and training as needed.
  • Perform material handling tasks, including loading/unloading and organizing stockroom inventory; assist with training and other duties as assigned by MRO Supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in materials, warehouse or inventory control

  • At least 1 year of manufacturing / production experience

  • Physical Requirements (Ability to do the following up to a minimum of 10 hours per shift):
    • Walk, stand, sit, bend, twist/turn, kneel, squat, crawl
    • Climb using both legs and arms
    • Head/neck movement
    • Reach outward or above the shoulder
    • Lift, carry, push, or pull 15-45 pounds
    • Repetitive use of hands and fingers
    • Use of vibrating tools
    • Depth perception required
    • Ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of color
    • Exposure to constant and intermittent noise, fumes, smoke and gases, solvents, paint, grease and oils, radiant energy, and slippery surfaces
  • Drive or operate equipment such as lifts and/or motor vehicles
  • May be required to work on units outdoors
  • Ability to work different shifts and overtime as needed
