Job summary

International Motors, LLC in Tulsa, OK is seeking a General Technician to assemble, disassemble and fasten large components with precision, ensuring surfaces are prepped for flawless paint application. The shift runs Mon-Thu, 4:30 AM–3:00 PM, at a competitive hourly rate of $24.26.

Job description

Position Overview

As a General Technician, you will expertly execute mechanical assembly, disassembly, and precision fastening of large-scale components using specialized tools. Ensure meticulous compliance with project specifications by expertly fitting, bolting, and connecting equipment, while also maintaining high standards in preparing surfaces for flawless paint application.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday 4:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Pay: $24.26 Per Hour

Responsibilities
  • Prepares weld area appropriately to result in good weld penetration and meets structural integrity criteria
  • Collaborates with peers to accomplish projects or tasks
  • Develops and maintains relationships with peers and customers
  • Participates in group discussions and meetings
  • Perform checks on product and process
  • Assure material integrity by routine inspection by following established procedures and quality processes and specifications
  • Assure piece and work output meets specifications
  • Sort and separate defective materials and parts
  • Assembles/disassemble and fasten / unfasten parts larger than hand using tools; fit, bolt, weld, cut or otherwise connect components and equipment according to specifications
  • Assemble / disassemble small parts not requiring precision alignment or small tolerances
  • Assemble / disassemble small parts requiring precision alignment and small tolerances
  • Performs any other assigned task

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.   • Ability to read and follow work procedures
  • Ability to work in areas that are hard to reach and in awkward positions
  • Ability to stand, crouch, climb 10 hours per day (in addition to overtime) in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment with intermittent noise, fumes, solvents and paints
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis and work around moving vehicles, on ladders and scaffolding, below ground level, with vibratory tools
  • This position is safety sensitive and may involve the operation of vehicles, operation of equipment, and/or involve work with power tools, or handling of hazardous materials, that could result in injury or damage to person/property/manufacturing process

  • Experience using hand tools and power tools including, but not limited to: wrenches, clamps, benders, box knives, power drills, and fastening tools
  • Ability to achieve high performance goals with changing work directions
