Job summary

Slim Chickens is hiring Front of House Team Members at 965 SE Alice's Rd, Waukee, IA. The cashier greets guests, takes orders at drive-thru and lobby, processes payments, and provides exceptional service in a fast-casual setting.

We value friendly, motivated individuals who excel in a team, communicate well, and balance multiple tasks. Full-time and part-time positions with benefits are available; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and friendly, engaging demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers entering or departing the restaurant.
• Take orders at drive-thru and front counter.
• Handle payments and balances at the register; provide receipts.
• Fill drinks and shakes; assist with basic meal prep as needed.
• Resolve customer questions and concerns, upsell where appropriate.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR CASHIER

The cashier, whether in the restaurant lobby or the drive thru, is the first person our guests interact with! We are looking for friendly, engaging cashiers / front of house team members to perform the following job duties:

• Greeting customers when entering and leaving the premises
• Taking orders on the drive thru headset
• Taking orders on the point of sale in the lobby
• Interacting with all guests in a friendly manner
• Managing transactions using a cash register
• Balancing the cash register
• Accepting payments in cash, credit or check
• Providing change and receipts
• Filling drinks and making shakes
• Processing returns and refunds, and resolving customer complaints
• Upselling and cross-selling when appropriate
