Job summary

Caring Transitions of Lancaster, PA is hiring part-time team members to help seniors and others downsize, relocate, and liquidate through online and in-person estate sales. Flexible, part-time work with no guaranteed hours makes it ideal for parents, retirees, and busy individuals.

Pay starts at $16 per hour and goes to $17 per hour after a probationary period. You will work on a team to organize, pack, resettle clients, and handle items for resale while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work in cluttered and/or dirty environments with gloves, masks, aprons as needed.

• Have transportation and smartphone access for scheduling and timekeeping.
• Age 18+ with valid driver’s license.
• Must undergo pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Work on a team to downsize and relocate clients and liquidate unneeded items.
• Organize, pack, unpack, and resettle clients in their homes and in senior living communities.
• Sort items for recycling, donation, disposal and cleanout.
• Use smartphones to create online auctions, photograph, and describe items.
• Sort, organize, research, label and handle items for resale.
• Assist buyers during on-site pickup and sales.
• Stand for long periods, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, climb stairs, and handle moving boxes.
• Note that we are not movers—we use professional movers for heavy items.
• Follow health and safety requirements and company guidelines.

You deliver excellent customer service, while safely and efficiently helping clients downsize, relocate and liquidate through online and in‑person estate sales. Every day is different. You truly make a difference in the lives of our clients every single day.

We offer flexibility and part‑time work with no required or guaranteed hours. Perfect for parents with school‑aged kids, retirees, and for anyone with a busy schedule.

You adapt to new situations, effectively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision, and work productively in a team environment. We are fun to work with, and so are you.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Work on a team to downsize and relocate clients and liquidate unneeded items.
• Organize, pack, unpack, and resettle clients in their homes and in senior living communities.
• Sort items for recycling, donation, disposal and cleanout.
• Use smart phones to create online auctions, photograph, and describe items.
• Sort, organize, research, label and handle items for resale.
• Assist buyers during on‑site pickup and sales.
• Stand for long periods, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, hang items at or above 4 feet, pack/unpack and label boxes, climb stairs. Carry supplies, items, and moving boxes to/from vehicles, within a home or outbuilding.
• Note that we are not movers! We use professional movers for furniture and items over 25 pounds. Endurance is more important than strength.
• Follow best practices, health and safety requirements and company guidelines.
