Job summary

Caring Transitions of Metro Milwaukee is seeking Team Members to assist seniors and families across multiple Milwaukee area communities. Roles include packing, organizing, light cleaning, photography for CTBids, and helping with auctions. This is a part-time, flexible schedule job with potential for advancement.

Shifts are daytime with some early evenings; a caring, patient, and team-oriented mindset is essential for supporting clients through downsizing and relocation processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Professional attitude and demeanor.
• Ability to lift 30 lb+ and move items within the home as needed.
• Able to work in fast-paced environment and in a team.
• Comfort with basic computer/smartphone/internet use.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, greet clients and families with a smile, respond to concerns.
• Prompt and regular attendance on assigned shifts.
• Safely pack/unpack client belongings during relocation.
• Lift and move boxes and smaller furniture as needed.
• Sort belongings to identify treasures for sale.
• Light cleaning (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming).
• Remove unwanted items for donation or disposal.
• Take photos, upload, and create CTBids listings.
• Host auction item pickups and sell items in person.
• Communicate positively with clients, peers, and managers.
• Show compassion to seniors and families during downsizing.

Job Summary

Caring Transitions of Metro Milwaukee is a locally owned and operated company seeking Team Members who want to help seniors and their families in Wauwatosa, Greenfield, West Allis, Greendale, Menomonee Falls, Brookfield, Elm Grove, New Berlin, and Waukesha. We specialize in downsizing, sorting & organizing, cleanouts, relocation services, estate sales, and online auctions. A great opportunity for retirees, stay-at-home parents, and local college students looking for part-time work with a flexible schedule. Shifts are typically scheduled during the week, during the daytime hours, with some early evening hours, as needed. Position has potential for promotion to team lead and management positions for the right candidate.

Roles and responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, greet clients and their families with a smile, and respond appropriately to customer concerns
• Prompt and regular attendance on assigned shifts
• Safely pack/unpack our client's personal belongings upon relocation
• Ability to lift packed boxes and smaller furniture within the home as needed
• Sorting through household belongings to find treasures and sellable items
• Light cleaning (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming)
• Removal of unwanted items for donation and disposal
• Take photos, upload, and create CTBids online auction listings
• Host auction item pickups and sell items in person
• Communicate positively with clients, peers, and managers
• Show compassion and patience to our senior clients who are downsizing, and family members who may have lost a loved one or are coming to terms with a parent's health changes

Job Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to lift 30lb+ and move items within the home as needed, with frequent walking, standing, stairs, bending, kneeling, etc.

• Understanding of basic to intermediate computer, smartphone, and internet technology
• Willingness to work in dirty and/or cluttered environments, if needed
