Overview
A Peter Piper Pizza Team Leader thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment. You will learn all aspects of restaurant operations—from guest service to food preparation and cash handling while ensuring a clean and safe workplace.
Responsibilities
- Interact with customers: receive orders, process payments, and respond to customer issues.
- Prepare products as ordered by customers.
- Maintain uncompromising standards for a clean and safe work environment, including restrooms, building exterior, parking lot, dumpsters, sidewalk, kitchen and dining room.
- Unload and stock supplies.
- Operate the cash register or point‑of‑sale terminal as needed.
- Responsible for restaurant operations (labor, inventory variance, guest survey, speed of service) during assigned shifts, including opening and closing.
- Delegate tasks in a way that encourages teamwork and ensures compliance with company standards.
- Motivate team members to exceed guest expectations with food, friendly service and clean surroundings.
- Report violations of safety, sanitation, security, and other company policies immediately and execute short‑term solutions.
- Complete checklists and procedures for cash reporting, inventory control, and scheduling during shifts.
- Maintain prompt and regular attendance on assigned shifts.
Position Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Pass the company’s background process.
- Able to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- No visible tattoos on the head, neck or face above the uniform and no offensive tattoos.
- May perform essential functions and duties as listed in the restaurant manager job description.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics
- Good oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional personal appearance.
- Interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Use a computer and calculator.
- Accomplish all restaurant tasks and resolve guest issues with tact.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
- Interact productively with co‑workers and function well in a team environment.
- Work flexible hours, including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays (except Thanksgiving and Christmas).
Required Certifications
- Obtain a health certification at own expense within sixty (60) days.
- Earn a valid, state‑approved Seller/Server certification within ninety (90) days.
