As part of our Manufacturing team, you’ll help build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles the world expects from us. What you’ll be able to do:
In this key position, you will coach safety, quality and productivity teams to ensure objectives are met through the development of and adherence to standardized work. Through process confirmation and building worker accountability, you will ensure that the line is running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts. You will also:
- Teach, confirm, and ensure adherences to SQPCPME Operating Systems
- Responsible for the training and implementation of production work teams
- Ensure Quality Operating System is understood and followed (Control Plan, Process Verification, and Dimensional Capability)
- Drive the MTC (Manage the Change) process. Ensure compliance to process and communicate change to Team Members
- Develop relationships with UAW to achieve business results and resolve issues at the floor level.
- Ensure training gaps are identified and plans implemented to achieve versatility requirements
- Clear understanding of scheduling production, line releases and maintenance
- Strategic planning and coordination of Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) activities to achieve Safety, Quality, and Productivity objectives
- Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks
- Six Sigma problem solving skills to support continuous improvement mentality
- Disseminate policy deployment, drive SQDCPME, and communicate departmental goals
The minimum requirements we seek:- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2+ years of experience
Our preferred requirements:- Bachelor’s Degree Management, Engineering or Production
- 5+ years of Supervisory experience
- Experience in Production and Machining preferred
- Experience as Plant Superintendent or Production Supervisor preferred
- Strong leadership characteristics
- Experience with Microsoft includes Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Must have leadership skills to lead, empower, and develop Salary and UAW Hourly employees
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written). Must be able to summarize sophisticated issues
- Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Production, Maintenance and/or Quality experience
