Job summary

Crate and Barrel is seeking a Team Leader, Visual to bring our merchandise design to life on the sales floor. You will lead and mentor the merchandising team, coaching on visual and operational standards while aligning with the Assistant Store Leader - Visual.

You will analyze KPIs, manage replenishment and back-of-house standards, and ensure the store is well-stocked and presents an exceptional customer experience every day.

Responsibilities

• Lead designated team and manage associate workload in partnership with the Assistant Store Leader.
• Coach associates on performance and maintain a strong visible presence in the department.
• Support performance and development for the team to encourage growth.
• Provide timely feedback about performance to associates and share observations with the Assistant Store Leader.
• Train and develop associates on product knowledge, selling, customer service, operations, visual, policies and procedures.
• Promote sales by supporting the Leader On Duty (LOD) role and executing plans.

You're a visual thinker with a passion for organization and efficiency. As Team Leader, you bring our merchandise design to life while supporting the Assistant Store Leader - Visual. You lead and mentor the merchandising team, communicating the design vision, coaching on visual and operational standards, and providing feedback to drive excellence. You plan, perform, and supervise merchandising work, including floorset execution, ongoing maintenance, signage, and collateral, while managing replenishment routines and back-of-house standards. You analyze KPIs, support expense reduction initiatives, and ensure the salesfloor is always well-stocked and aligned with the brand. Positive, creative, and adaptable, you collaborate across teams to ensure visual merchandising drives both customer experience and sales.

A day in the life as a Team Leader, Visual...

• Lead designated team and manage associate workload as determined in partnership with the Assistant Store Leader
• Coach associates on exceptional performance and maintain a strong visible presence in the department/work area
• In coordination with the Assistant Store Leader, support all aspects of performance and development for the designated team to encourage professional growth
• Provide specific and timely feedback about performance directly to associates and share observations with the Assistant Store Leader
• Partner with the Assistant Store Leader to train and develop associates on product knowledge, selling, customer service, operations, visual, policies and procedures, as applicable
• Focus on promoting sales as they pertain to, or are driven by, position and acting as the Leader On Duty (LOD)
• Communicate regularly with the Assistant Store Leader to review business results, execution of plans/strategies, customer feedback and associate performance
• Ensure all customers are provided gracious, quick and efficient service through setting expectations and modeling behaviors

• Majority of time in this role will be spent interacting with customers and associates in the store and ensuring that the store business is running smoothly
• Ability to be in the store as the Leader on Duty multiple times a week.
• Hourly team members and several leaders within multiple departments will rely on you in the store for everyday operations and ongoing efforts like associate development and performance management.
