Job summary

Crate and Barrel in Paramus, NJ seeks a Team Leader, Visual to lead the merchandising team, mentor staff, and drive the design vision on the sales floor. You will supervise floorset execution, signage, and replenishment while maintaining brand standards and strong customer service.

You will coach and develop associates, partner with the Assistant Store Leader, and focus on achieving sales goals through effective visual and operational leadership.

Qualifications

• 1+ years customer service or retail leadership experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Google applications, computer systems and tablet devices.
• Full-Time roles: open availability to work flexible hours on weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead designated team and manage associate workload as determined in partnership with the Assistant Store Leader
• Coach associates on exceptional performance and maintain a strong visible presence in the department/work area
• In coordination with the Assistant Store Leader, support all aspects of performance and development for the designated team to encourage professional growth
• Provide specific and timely feedback about performance directly to associates and share observations with the Assistant Store Leader
• Partner with the Assistant Store Leader to train and develop associates on product knowledge, selling, customer service, operations, visual, policies and procedures, as applicable
• Focus on promoting sales as they pertain to, or are driven by, position and acting as the Leader On Duty (LOD)
• Communicate regularly with the Assistant Store Leader to review business results, execution of plans/strategies, customer feedback and associate performance
• Ensure all customers are provided gracious, quick and efficient service through setting expectations and modeling behaviors

You're a visual thinker with a passion for organization and efficiency. As Team Leader, you bring our merchandise design to life while supporting the Assistant Store Leader - Visual. You lead and mentor the merchandising team, communicating the design vision, coaching on visual and operational standards, and providing feedback to drive excellence. You plan, perform, and supervise merchandising work, including floorset execution, ongoing maintenance, signage, and collateral, while managing replenishment routines and back-of-house standards. You analyze KPIs, support expense reduction initiatives, and ensure the salesfloor is always well-stocked and aligned with the brand. Positive, creative, and adaptable, you collaborate across teams to ensure visual merchandising drives both customer experience and sales.
