Job summary

Catholic Charities-Straight & Narrow Inc (SN) in Paterson, NJ, is seeking a Team Leader for Residential Programs. You will provide leadership and oversee clinical operations, guiding the counseling staff to deliver services in line with agency policies and licensing standards.

The role includes maintaining caseload requirements, supervising the team, and reporting to the Clinical Director. Full-time with a salary of $23.00-$25.00 per hour, plus a $3,000 sign-on bonus for new full-time employees.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in addictions treatment program.
• Must hold LCADC/CADC or MA/MSW with an LAC/LSW; if not, certification must be obtained within three years of hire.
• Experience supervising counseling staff and overseeing clinical operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential program operations and clinical oversight as instructed by Clinical Supervisor.
• Supervise counseling team and ensure compliance with policies and licensing standards.
• Oversee daily billing submissions and program finances.
• Input client data into NJSAMS and monitor LOCI renewals.
• Facilitate groups and individual sessions as needed.
• Participate in CQI committees and staff meetings.

We provide innovative and compassionate services to individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders. We are looking for dedicated, caring and compassionate people to work in our Residential/Outpatient Treatment Facilities and Community Programs.

Team Leader (Residential Programs)

Hours: Monday- Friday 8:30am-4:30pm with one late night 12:00pm-8:00pm

Location: All Straight & Narrow locations (Paterson, Passaic, Secaucus)

Regular Salary: $23.00-$25.00/Hr

Sign on bonus of $3000 (Full time Only) (New Employees Only)

Job Summary:

As a line counselor, the team leader will provide leadership and oversight of specific program and clinical operations as instructed by the program’s clinical supervisor. Responsibilities will focus upon working with the clinical staff to ensure the provision of services based upon the organizations policies and procedures and licensing standards.

Duties to include, but not limited to:

Leadership Responsibilities

Maintain a minimum case load as required by the level of care of the program assigned.

Supervise the counseling team as directed by the Clinical Supervisor or Director.

Provide oversight of the clinical coverage of services.

Participate in Team meetings as scheduled.

Provide the Clinical Director with monthly reports on the status of the program.

Participate in program Strategic Planning process with the Clinical and Director and implement the strategic plan initiatives.

Plan, develop and initiate Program Development initiatives with the treatment team.

Participate in the design, and implementation of policies and procedures.

Finances

Assist in the oversight and manage the submission of daily billing of services provided.

Human Resources

Assist in the departmental orientation and training of the counseling staff and interns.

Assist in the development and implementation of a Volunteer Services Program.

Obtain/maintain appropriate licenses/certifications. Continue to pursue own professional development.

Programs

Assist in the maintenance of county and state contracts as appropriate. Be available for necessary site visits.

Obtain and maintain appropriate licensure for Agency.

Work with Clinical Supervisor and Director on program development.

Make recommendations to clinical team regarding the admission of new residents.

Input client data into NJSAMS and monitor LOCI renewals as needed.

Facilitate groups and/or individual sessions (process and educational) as needed.

Ensure that individual clients are compliant with medical and psychiatric treatment recommendations and that this treatment is noted on client’s treatment plan.

Act as a member of the treatment team, providing clinical assistance to residents and

Actively participate in staff meeting, clinical team meeting, and supervision

Continue to upgrade skills by attending relevant training and workshops.

Participate on at least one CQI committee.

Provide mental health services to clients diagnosed with co-occurring disorders, including but not limited to assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, and crisis intervention

Maintain professionalism, ethical conduct and appropriate boundaries at all times while delivering direct services to clients or representing the agency in accordance with agency standards and substance abuse best practices.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• LCADC, CADC or MA/MSW/ with an LAC/LSW
• 5 years’ experience in addictions treatment program experience; thorough understanding of the multiple needs of the substance use disorder population and evidence-based treatment services.
• If no LCADC/CADC must be obtained three years from the date of hire.
