  • Assist doctors with comprehensive visual exams, medical exams, and in-office procedures.
  • Perform preliminary testing and manage electronic medical record entries.
  • Conduct contact lens classes and follow-ups with patients.
  • Train and support the team, ensuring adherence to standardized training programs.
  • Create and maintain department schedules, manage patient appointments, and communicate goals to the team.
  • Lead and participate in department meetings, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.

As a Team Leader - Optometric Tech, you will play a crucial role in supporting our optometrists by conducting preliminary testing, managing electronic medical records, and assisting with in-office procedures. What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • At least six months of experience as an Optometric Tech.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Completion of all required training, including the HFHS Leadership Charge training program.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail or hospitality experience.
  • American Board of Opticianry Certification (ABOC) and/or National Contact Lens Examiners Certification (NCLE).
