Job summary

Viwinco Brand in Morgantown, PA is seeking a Materials Leader to guide daily operations in the Materials area and uphold Viwinco’s Production System. You will lead a team of Material Handlers, manage staffing to cover shifts, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency across material flow.

You will implement Standard Work, train employees, and coordinate with quality and production teams to sustain peak performance and orderly materials management.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, training, and coaching abilities.
• Experience with Standard Work, 5S, and process auditing.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day.
• Capability to lift and handle objects weighting up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable and skilled in the use of software applications and scanning systems.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Willingness to learn and cross-train in multiple roles to support business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and act as a positive role model for employees.

• Manage escalation processes for issues related to safety, quality, maintenance, and HR.
• Utilize managerial and interpersonal skills including communication and time management.
• Monitor safety practices and PPE compliance.
• Conduct process audits including safety and standard work checks.
• Maintain housekeeping and enforce 5S in Materials areas.
• Keep areas organized and clean to support productivity.
• Coordinate and deliver training for new and cross-training for existing employees.
• Participate in creation and implementation of Standard Work.
• Oversee daily responsibilities of Material Handlers; adjust staffing daily for absenteeism.
• Serve as liaison between Materials, quality, and production teams.
• Navigate Materials applications and maintain material flow.
• Collect data and contribute to performance metric reports.
• Conduct month-end inventory procedures and WIP counts.
• Provide clear shift handover communication between shifts.
• Perform other duties as deemed by management.
