Job summary

Viwinco Windows is seeking a hands-on Materials Supervisor to lead by example in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Morgantown, PA. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficient material flow, with responsibility for training and cross-training team members.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Standard Work, 5S, and process auditing.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Capability to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable with software applications and scanning systems.
  • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to cross-train.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and serve as a positive role model.
  • Ensure the Materials environment aligns with Viwinco’s Core Tenets and Production System.
  • Manage escalation processes for safety, quality, maintenance, and HR.
  • Utilize managerial and interpersonal skills including communication and time management.
  • Monitor safety practices and PPE compliance.
  • Conduct process audits (safety, standard work, start/end shifts).
  • Maintain 5S housekeeping in Materials areas and keep areas organized.
  • Coordinate and deliver training for new and existing employees.
  • Participate in Standard Work creation and implementation.
  • Oversee daily responsibilities of Material Handlers; adjust staffing as needed.
  • Liaise between Materials, quality, and production teams.
  • Navigate Materials software to maintain material flow.
  • Collect data and contribute to performance reports.
  • Conduct month-end inventory and WIP counts.
  • Provide clear shift handover between first and second shifts.
  • Perform other duties as needed by management.
