HARIBO of America, Inc. is seeking a Team Lead for the production line in Pleasant Prairie, WI. You will guide and supervise staff, monitor performance, and ensure smooth operations to meet daily production targets.

You will coordinate with Maintenance and Quality teams, emphasize safety and quality, and coach associates to uphold HARIBO’s high standards. Strong leadership and communication skills are required for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or production supervision is expected.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate a team.
• Proficiency with SAP, MS Office, and LMS systems preferred.

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Team Lead is a professional in charge of guiding, monitoring and leading an entire group. They are responsible for motivating their teammates as well as inspiring positive communication within them so that they can work together toward achieving goals. The Team Lead works with and coordinates the activities of his/ her shift to realize production targets. This includes assisting with all material supply in line with Production/Packaging plan to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations and supporting any other operational area needs. The Team Leadis a steward of our people centric culture and builds people capability and competency through effective communication. Holds associates accountable to HARIBO’s high standards by coaching, counselling, and encouraging performance and accountability. The Team Lead is responsible for reporting, investigating, and determining root cause of all safety incidents. This role is also responsible for proactively reporting and partnering in resolving, any food safety/quality problems.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the staffing process at the start of the shift by determining colleagues’ positions within the line based on their training, capability, and experience.
• Promote and maintain good employee relations, to maintain a high morale on the line.
• Builds relationships with teammates and colleagues so that coaching efforts are received in a positive and developmental manner.
• Balance the needs of both upper management and team members, navigating complex decisions to ensure operational success.
• Enact effective communication, delegation, and problem-solving abilities.
• First in command for line downtime.
• Act as a fill in for job vacancies on the line.
• Training Associates on tasks throughout the department.
• Preparing work schedules and assigning workers production line tasks.
• Optimizing production line efficiency by monitoring productivity and quality.
• Training and supervising new production line workers
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Coordination with Maintenance and Quality
• Partners with the line Technical Support Team to ensure each process and equipment on the line has a centerline and Standard Operating Procedures are identified, including all quality and safety protocols.
• Work with, collaborate and cooperate with the Maintenance and Quality department to ensure delivery commitments are achieved. Ensure trials, changeovers and maintenance work is planned and completed on time and does not conflict with production schedule attainment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifictions:

• High School Diploma or GED Required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 Years of Manufacturing Experience preferred in a non-union environment.
• Supervisory or management experience is required.
• Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, SAP, and LMS) systems preferred.
• Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal and Written).
• Able to successfully coordinate with other functions to ensure project success.
• Available to work flexible hours and days as needed to meet business demands.
• Basic knowledge of Industrial Maintenance and manufacturing equipment.
• Demonstrated Project Management skills.
• Possess a basic Financial Understanding to ensure results are delivered. Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills.
• Able to differentiate types of problems to ensure proper maintenance support.
• TPM and/or Lean manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Strong decision-making, problem solving, and organizational skills are required.
• Ability to lead, develop, direct, and hold others accountable to HARIBO’s high standards.
• Ability to train others and coach to compliance.
