• 3–5 years in an industrial maintenance environment with mechanical/electrical/electronic equipment
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills for coordinating diverse tasks and schedules
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings/schematics; MS Word/Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership to the maintenance team and communicate daily goals, performance, and assignments
• Train and supervise team members; support area supervisor with evaluations
• Perform or assign preventive maintenance and work orders as directed
• Ensure safety through safety sweeps and training; manage safety compliance
• Manage spare parts, tools, and procurement; coordinate with maintenance clerk
• Lead or participate in maintenance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
• Coordinate with contractors; ensure adherence to G&W safety policies

Team Leader Maintenance Position Summary

Reporting to the SR Maintenance & Facility Mgr this role is responsible for leading a Maintenance Team in their daily tasks projects work orders and preventive maintenance for production the building and grounds The Team Lead will train and lead others in maintenance tasks and participate in or lead project teams tasked with process improvement problem resolution and lean initiatives Pay Range is typically between 34 39 per hour plus a 100 shift differential

PrimaryEssential Responsibilities

• Provide hands on leadership to assigned team and communicate daily goals performance and team member assignments
• Assist with supervisory tasks and employee performance evaluations with support of area supervisor
• Perform or assign preventive maintenance and work order functions as directed
• Perform safety sweeps and employee training including TWI as required
• Responsible for the safety of individuals on the team and that of those impacted by any maintenance activity
• Assist in resolution of issues found with maintenance equipment repairs
• Control and source maintenance tools equipment and spares
• Assist in running an efficient maintenance operation which is able to fulfill operational and customer demand and meet set targets
• Participate in andor manage maintenance projects
• Communicate effectively with others at various levels using both verbal and written communication skills
• Control and organize the teams daily work schedule and delegate tasks to the team to ensure maximum effectiveness
• Perform hands on labor and other functions within the group to maintain workflow in an efficient manner to ensure on time completion
• Support continuous improvement projects within assigned area or other areas of expertise as required
• Manage contractors on site to ensure they meet G&W Safety policies
• G&W environmental policies legal and company requirements
• Assist in locating equipment parts and work with maintenance clerk to order as needed
• Manage spare parts cage and work on having critical parts on hand
• Perform other duties as required

Required Qualifications

• 3 5 years experience performing work in a proven industrial maintenance environment specifically with mechanical and electricalelectronic equipment
• Must possess the ability for working under pressure complete assigned tasks under stressful situations and deal with stress andor emergency situations effectively
• Must possess a high school diploma or GED
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and coordinate activities within a department comprised of diverse tasks and demanding schedules
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and schematics
• Must have intermediate computer skills in MS Word and Excel
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve including use of corrective and preventive actions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using an CMMS Computerized maintenance management system
• Experience leading a team
• College degree completed or in process
