Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential functions and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned by management based on business needs.

  • Verifies incoming shipments, resolves discrepancies and examines for damage and cleanliness.
  • Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining and shipping stock; and related problems.
  • Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
  • Schedules work for routine and special service to equipment.
  • Verifies time cards and submits to payroll.
  • Issues written and oral instructions.
  • Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, cleanliness, neatness, safety and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
  • Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
  • Adjusts errors and complaints.
  • Keeps Supply Chain Manager informed about problems, potential issues and status of work in progress.
  • Keeps work area sanitary and orderly at all times.
  • Timely investigation of all accidents and correct safety hazards to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Promote safety awareness and follow all safety rules and procedures.
  • Report unsafe conditions and work-related accidents to Supply Chain Manager or Safety Manager immediately.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervise all employees in the warehouse. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Minimum Job Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Education/Certifications:

High school diploma or GED; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift certification required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Licenses, Certificates, Registration: Forklift certification.

Additional skills: Basic computer skills, keyboard (25 wpm), Windows (Word/Excel), familiarity with PRMS or SAP database system and ability to operate scissor lift,

$70,127.00 - $124,487.00
