Job summary

Alfa Laval Mid Europe GmbH seeks a dedicated material handling supervisor in Richmond, VA to coordinate daily plans and lead a team of handlers. You will train staff, manage ERP-based workflows, and collaborate with production and inventory to resolve discrepancies.

Responsibilities include root cause analysis, SOP creation, and ongoing process improvements to support ALPS priorities and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years warehouse logistics experience.
• 2–4 years material handling equipment experience.
• Experience with handheld barcode scanners (Zebra preferred).
• Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft D365 preferred).
• Ability to read BOMs, pick lists and manufacturing documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of material handlers to ensure accurate, timely picking.
• Coordinate daily work and resolve discrepancies with rapid root cause analysis.
• Train team members to achieve ERP system competency and SOP adherence.
• Write and audit SOPs; drive process improvements and cost reduction.
• Own material handling activities with production and inventory teams.
• Participate in company improvement initiatives and problem solving.

Assign resources as needed to meet daily goals. Resolve discrepancies efficiently, train team members, and do root cause analysis/problem solving as needed.As part of the team you will:Lead a team of material handlers to ensure parts picking is completed in an accurate and timely manner. Collaborate closely with other warehouse/logistics teams to resolve issues.
