Job summary

UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport seeks an experienced Team Leader to join our Environmental Services (EVS) team. This 1st/2nd split shift role coordinates the activities of EVS Aides and ensures patient rooms, public areas, and equipment are cleaned according to departmental procedures.

The successful candidate will support the shift supervisor, report issues, and communicate with unit personnel to complete assignments while maintaining safety and sanitation standards across the hospital

Qualifications

• Experience leading an Environmental Services team in a hospital setting.
• Knowledge of hospital sanitation and safety standards.
• Ability to work 1st/2nd shift and weekends/holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• In the absence of the shift supervisor, temporarily act in a supervisory capacity; assume the responsibilities of the shift supervisor.
• Report problems and suggestions to the shift supervisor.
• Communicate with unit personnel and other departments regarding specific needs in order to complete assignments.
• Ensure that the daily work of all team members is assigned and that team members are working in assigned area.
• Ensure that sufficient supplies and equipment are available for subordinates. Report all problems to the shift supervisor.
• Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair.
• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations, reporting problems to the shift supervisor.
• Comply with all Hospital/Department policies and procedures.

UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our EVS team. This is a 1st/2nd Split shift position with at least 2 hours between 4:00pm and 11:00pm, weekends and holidays are as scheduled. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, and equipment are properly cleaned according to the procedures established by the Environmental Services Department. Support the shift supervisor by working with and coordinating the activities of assigned Environmental Services Aides.
