• Assign daily work to team members and monitor areas.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are available; report issues to the shift supervisor.
• Inspect cleaning of assigned areas and ensure good repair.
• Follow safety and sanitation regulations; report issues.
• Comply with hospital/department policies and procedures.

Job description

UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport is seeking an experienced Team Leaderto join our EVS team. This is a 1st shift position with weekends and holidays rotation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, and equipment are properly cleaned according to the procedures established by the Environmental Services Department. Support the shift supervisor by working with and coordinating the activities of assigned Environmental Services Aides. Responsibilities:

• In the absence of the shift supervisor, temporarily act in a supervisory capacity; assume the responsibilities of the shift supervisor.
• Report problems and suggestions to the shift supervisor.
• Communicate with unit personnel and other departments regarding specific needs in order to complete assignments.
• Ensure that the daily work of all team members is assigned and that team members are working in assigned area.
• Ensure that sufficient supplies and equipment are available for subordinates. Report all problems to the shift supervisor.
• Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair.
• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations, reporting problems to the shift supervisor.
• Comply with all Hospital/Department policies and procedures.
